The Investment Committees

At Integradvisory there is a commitment to develop strength of diversity and professionalism by maintaining a high level of investment risk management and due diligence. To achieve this aim, the company has brought together a number of investment professionals within two separate and distinct Investment Committees – the Advisory Investment Committee and the Asset Management Investment Committee.

Both Committees hold meetings at least once a quarter to discuss, plan and execute the investment strategies for both the advisory and asset management services.

These Committees serve as a critical platform for debate and analysis of major investment risks and policies within the company. The main objectives of the investment committees are:

  • To provide an overview of the prevailing economic and financial cycle
  • To provide our financial outlook for the subsequent quarter/s
  • To provide an on-going risk management and due diligence process
  • To provide our asset allocations for the various risk categories
  • To monitor, add or remove third party funds from the company’s “Best of Fund” range

The two Committees are independent from each other and are governed by separate Terms of Reference.

The Advisory Investment Committee is currently composed of professionals from various financial and economic fields and amongst others includes:

  • A Malta based economics professor that taught in various international universities including Roosevelt University in Chicago, Northwestern university and University of Cincinnati and is currently the Head of Banking and Finance at the University of Malta.
  • An experienced private banker and currently head of private banking within a Malta based Bank.
  • A technical analyst currently based in New York with one of the most respected financial institutions and specialized in corporate finance and Eastern European countries.
  • A highly experienced wealth manager formerly employed with one of the largest financial institutions with a global presence.
  • An experienced business development professional with specialization in corporate governance and due diligence.

This committee has an average of 20 years experience in economic and financial matters.

The Asset Management Investment Committee on the other hand is composed mainly of experienced asset managers. The main committee’s role is that of providing adequate risk management parameters and compliance to the agreements, Offering Memorandum or prospectus governing the various asset management platforms the company runs.

This committee is also responsible for the selection of professionals within the various sub-committees responsible for the day-to-day asset management to which they are assigned. Each sub-committee operates independently within the specific objectives and strategies adopted for the service/fund managed but report regularly to the main committee and must comply with the risk management and due diligence guidelines provided by the main committee.

In areas where the main committee or any of the sub-committees feel they require additional expertise, external advisors may be engaged to provide such service.
